To be responsible to the Manager and Owners for the overall running and supervision of the service department, including tradesmen and service personnel. Assist with the management of daily service activities and effective communication and leadership Assist with the preparation and supervision of weekly maintenance plan including planning and scheduling of maintenance and jobs. Provisions of quality estimates and scope of works for customer requirements for the repair, replacement, maintenance and installation of air conditioning, refrigeration and
mechanical ventilation equipment including new installations.
Sourcing new clients, including cold calling.
Ensuring the satisfaction of existing clients are met.
Ensuring all tools are safe and operational
Stocktake requirements including gas useage
Quality assurance including calibration of equipment and checking of works by technicians
Toolbox meetings with staff

1. Liaise with existing clients regarding their requirements to ensure a high level
of customer satisfaction.
2. Seek new customers
3. Assist with the development and maintenance of external relations with
a. Service customers
b. Commercial contract customers
c. Domestic contracting customers and or any other industry group
d. Government departments
e. Suppliers and contractors
4. Continue sales growth in the service department– existing turnover has been
approximately $1,000,000 per annum. .
5. Continue ongoing commitment to existing clients
6. Monthly reports to Manager in regards to progress of service department and
any issues arising, including control of maintenance department and kpis of
staff and service sales.
7. Regular meetings with service personnel in regards to performance, company
requirements, motivation, presentation , workplace health and safety. etc.
8. Assist when required with Project Management and co-ordination
9. Co-ordinate the inspection, repair, servicing of company equipment in
accordance with the Quality Assurance requirements
10. Working with management to strategically align staff to ensure critical path
timeframes are achieved
11. Hazard and risk management, safety interactions by promoting proactive
approach to safe working practices
12. Create and manage new work orders and new service sales
13. Assist with recruitment and selection of staff
14. Provide technicians with technical assistance as required.
15. Fault find, service, repair equipment as necessary
16. Assist with stock control
17. Ensure compliancy by staff of all company policies and procedures
18. Provide quotations for service contracts, repairs, refurbishments, retro fitting,
new installation of air conditioning, refrigeration and mechanical ventilation
including sketches as necessary.
Liaise with Manager on pricing on projects, aspects of the company associated with
improvements, sales, contracts, installations and suppliers
